Welcome to the Age of Amalgam Forum RPG.
The character application process here is rather simple.
Check the character list in this category to see what characters are available for application.
Then write up the following details in a PM to the admin. The admin will respond to your application with a yes or a no.

(If it's an original character name the characters being combined here)
Character Name: The character's code name
Real Name: The character's real name
Backstory: The backstory of the character, it should be minimum of two paragraphs long. Since Amalgam characters do not have as extensively defined backgrounds a lot of freedom will be given to you in filling in the blanks. This is one of the most important aspects of the process, especially if you are making an original Amalgam character, as it shows the admin that you understand the character and can play them well.
Added Note on Backstory: Don't be afraid of taking aspects from both characters backstories and adding them in. Amalgam characters have very little backstory and anything you can do to flesh it out is a plus. Also check out sources like Wikipedia and Comic Vine if you're unsure what the character is like.
Personality: The personality and demeanor of the character. This section should be at least four sentences long.
Powers, Skills and Abilities: This section describes out any powers, special skills, equipment, resources and the like that the character has. This section should be at least a paragraph long.
Description: What the character looks like. Describe both their costumed and civilian looks.

If you disagree with the admin's decision message all the mods and you will get a vote on your application.
After the group vote, all decisions are final.
After you have been approved for your character, post your application in the Characters category so that all players can check out your character whenever they want. This will help make sure that no one is playing their characters overpowered and help resolve disputes about what characters can do.
