Character Name: Spider-Boy.
Real Name: Pete Ross.
Backstory: Spider-Boy is an attempt by Project Cadmus to create a viable clone of the original Super-Soldier. While his creation resulted in the death of a researcher by the name of Peter Parker when the clone accidentally used his powers for the first time, the clone managed to survive. He was somewhat confused by his surroundings and began walking up a wall or two in the confusion.
The head of the project, General "Thunderbolt" Ross, felt sorry for the clone and somewhat responsible for the boy's welfare, legally adopted the clone, and give him the last name of Ross and named him Peter after his father.
Peter and "Uncle Gen" made a happy family, at least until General Ross was killed by a mugger. This drove Pete to swear that he would make something of himself in his 'Uncle's' name, though he was dismissed as just a boy. Inspired by his spider-like ability to walk on walls, he fashioned something of a costume and named himself Spider-Boy.
He would team up with Project Cadmus, where he gained a special gun called a "Web-shooter", which fires strands of synthetic webbing. He would fight some interesting genetic mutants on their behalf, while working as a photographer for the sleazy tabloid the Daily Bugle which he used to photograph himself with every attractive super-heroine around and become something of a pop culture icon in the process. Where he goes from here is anybody's guess.
Personality: Despite the circumstances surrounding his creation, Pete is very happy-go-lucky kind of teenager. While he tends to keep this somewhat suppressed as his civilian self, he is a real big fan of bad puns and one liners which he tends to spout a large large amount of when he's playing super-hero. He is also very studious, a trait that he 'inherited' off his Uncle who expected him to have the knowledge to back up his powers, and it's a habit he keeps. Pete is somewhat indomitable when it comes to doing the right thing and saving people.
Powers, Skills and Abilities: Spider-Boy's primary power is the ability to redirect his own personal gravity, allowing him to shift the pull of gravity sideways and walk on walls. He can redirect it inward and boost his strength to superhuman levels, or lower his own gravity to leap higher and farther than a normal human. He supplements his abililty with a Web-Shooter, a pistol that fires streams of synthetic webbing for the purposes of entangling enemies, or firing web-lines to swing from.
Description: Pete is about 5'8" and weighs a wopping 167 lbs, but he packs some refined muscle onto his frame. His hair is jet black after his cloned father, but he dyes it blonde in an effort to be unique and has steel blue eyes. He possesses a few scratches and cuts from his crime fighting escapades but he's been lucky to avoid getting anything that would be obvious or hard to explain away.
Pete's mufti clothes consist mainly of black shirts from rock concerts or containing pop culture references, a pair of jeans and an overcoat. His Spider-Boy uniform is blue with red accents containing a black webbing motif and a yellow shield with a red spider, with the same accents as his uniform, a yellow holster for his "Web-Shooter" on his right leg, black gloves with the accents of his uniform in place of the fingers, and a black leather jacket with the same Spider-Shield on the back. He also wears a modified domino mask with special lenses that hide his eyes.
